God's Plan of Salvation The Bible says there is only one way to Heaven Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6) Good works cannot save you. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9) 1. Everyone is a sinner. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23) 2. There is a payment for our sin. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) 3. We must believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners. Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) 4. Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Saviour. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9) "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:10) "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13) Pray this simple prayer and believe the words that you say and Jesus will save you: Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave to pay for my sins and give me eternal life. I put all of my trust in you to save me. I accept You now as my Lord and Savior. Amen. If you prayed this prayer and meant it, Jesus saved you, and promises you a home in heaven! "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
